Little Car's 1st Birthday Party

Today I'm so happy to share Trim's first little birthday party with you!It was such a happy day from start to finish and we just had so much fun celebrating!
My little boy turned One !
And to celebrate, we threw him a little car birthday party.
Immediately when I started thinking about the party I knew it would  be with Cars! My oldest boy is always been obsessed with them so naturally we have a bunch of little cars ,so we decorated a car -themed table and some little decorations. We live in a flat so we kept it simple.I feel like the first birthday celebration is as much for the parents as it is the baby, and I didn't want to overwhelm. So we just invited our immediate family and kept it intimate and small.

It was pretty easy to set a car-themed table. It turned out really nicely with some plastic plates ,my son's road fabric and little cars!

We had little decorations from my Mom and this road sign in the shape of T (for Trim). It's just a cardboard painted in black and than added the dashes and cars. And the stop lights from toilet paper roll are awesome!

The KitKat cake with car's was so much fun to make.It is a no bake cake, all I did was put around the chocolates and fill it on top with m&m's.There are so many simple options that still look amazing if you really want to do the cake yourself.

Remember to have fun,you are celebrating the day you first met your little one.Not how well you decorate or cook.Remember what you are celebrating and enjoy the day.Enjoy your little one's excitement, laughter and joy.

With spring in full bloom and summer right around the corner, it's the perfect time for a fun celebration -  a gathering with your best friends, a Mother's Day brunch, a summer soirée, or a garden party.

Because there are so many reasons to celebrate,Shari's Berries created the ultimate mimosa guide It includes essential ingredients needed,  unique recipes, set-up tips, and a fun backdrop idea which pairs with any occasion and tablescape.

When you walk into a room and the table looks amazing ....does it make you happy? If your answer is yes ,than you are going to get many ideas from this spring and feminine tablescape that you can apply any day ...any time and for any occasion!

When you look at the different arrangements you can think about what is in your closet...your silverware....your tablecloth' don't even have to buy anything to make a great tablescape....but fresh flowers are always wonderful! Create for no reason ...I think that's the most fun!

Feminine touches like floral, lace and doily's make gorgeous table decor. When choosing a tablecloth ,go for champagne or white .It gives you a lovely solid base to work with .My mom loves table linens ,and is an expert in collecting them. She has gifted me with several different patterns, but my mom's  TAÇ champagne damask linen  is one  of my favorite.
Have fun with fresh flowers too. They're so feminine, your guests will appreciate them.

A little arrangement with  red carnations in a teapot!Love all colors of them! Be creative ,use your old porcelain or silver  teapot -whatever you have on hand.

For the  centerpiece I use chamomile daisies, cause they look so adorable and simple at the same time, and of course, available this season. The cheerful blooms in a rattan basket are a great way to add a fresh look to the table.

Each placesetting consisted of a rattan charger plate, paper doily, red plate and lace plate on top.

Silverware wrapped in red paper napkins and paper doily ,tied with twine.

Beige lace ruffled plates are a must for this very feminine table. My old enamel tea pot becomes a vase for this tablescape.

Everything came together perfectly and ended up making for a spring dinner tablescape that would also be perfect for Tea party or Mother's Day.
I always love to set a beautiful table...even if its just for snacks.Family always deserves the best.

Table decorating should be an enjoyable experience and is something that everyone can do! It doesn't have to coast a lot of money to create a beautiful tablescape and your family and friends will truly enjoy the gorgeous atmosphere you have created.
The inspiration for this modern-vintage and blue table was my mother's vintage cobalt china I'v had a long time now.Maybe a lot of you have these cobalt dishes at your home from your mother's collection because on these days you can't find them on the stores.I'v always had a respect for vintage china and my love of design makes tablescaping something I really enjoy.

A gold patterned tablecloth adds depth and plays nicely with the mix of patterns in the dishes and centerpiece.I love mixing patterns!

A table setting is not complete without lovely fresh flowers and for this one I used pretty spring flowering branches from the garden.

And because I wanted the vintage dishes to take center stage each place was set with one dessert cobalt plate sitting on a gold charger with blue napkins and crystal wine goblet.

I\really enjoyed making this lovely table, and I'm blessed to have lovely things.Beautiful things don't have to be expensive, and in my case often aren't. I mix the treasures that were passed down to me with things that cost very little.Style shouldn't be expensive. How we hold, share and mix things in our own individual ways ,that's true style. And most of all is the people that fill this table with love and give it meaning and joy.

I came across this tip on my friends blog : Use your collections, they don't come into existence, just to display, hang on the wall or collect on your cabinets; they come into existence to be used and enjoyed.

I really enjoyed pulling this look together.I hope you take some inspiration away from it.
